Our professional tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Begin a scenic 110-kilometer journey by comfortable limousine or air-conditioned bus through the peaceful countryside of northern Vietnam. A short stop will be made en route for you to stretch and refresh.

Morning Sightseeing Options – Cultural Exploration

Option 1: Bai Dinh Pagoda
You will explore Bai Dinh, the largest Buddhist complex in Southeast Asia. This vast temple site features 500 beautifully carved stone Arhat statues, two enormous bronze bells weighing 27 and 36 tons, and spiritual monuments including the thousand-armed Quan Yin and a towering Gautama Buddha statue. The temple is nestled on the mountainside, offering stunning views of the surrounding karst landscape.

Option 2: Hoa Lu Ancient Capital
Step back in time at Hoa Lu, the former royal capital of Vietnam. Here you will visit the Dinh and Le King Temples, which date back to the 17th century. These temples provide rich insight into early Vietnamese dynastic history and traditional architecture, set in a peaceful valley surrounded by limestone peaks.

Afternoon Boat Ride Options – Natural Wonders

Option 1: Trang An Grottoes
After lunch, board a traditional sampan boat and begin a peaceful journey through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Trang An Landscape Complex. You will glide along crystal-clear rivers, passing through limestone mountains and visiting a series of magical caves including Lam Cave, Vang Cave, Dai Cave, and Thanh Truot Cave. Along the way, you will also stop at ancient spiritual temples such as Cao Son, Suoi Tien, and Vu Lam.

Option 2: Tam Coc Boat Trip
Alternatively, you can enjoy a tranquil 1.5-hour boat ride through Tam Coc, often referred to as “Halong Bay on land.” The river journey takes you past green rice paddies and through three naturally carved limestone caves named Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba. This scenic experience is ideal for photography and connecting with nature.

You will arrive at Mua Cave, where a short but invigorating trek takes you up 500 stone steps to the summit of Ngoa Long Mountain. From the top, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Tam Coc valley, stretching across lush rice fields and towering karst formations.

After the trek, check in to your private bungalow or homestay surrounded by nature. You will have free time to relax, swim, or read. Dinner will be served around 19:00, and afterward, you may enjoy drinks by the poolside bar. Please note the tour guide will not accompany you after dinner until the next day’s activities.

Day 2: Ninh Binh – Ha Long Bay – Halong Cruise – Hanoi

Following breakfast at your homestay or bungalow, check out and board the limousine or private transport heading toward Ha Long Bay. The scenic drive will take several hours with one rest stop along the way.

Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina where you will be welcomed in a private waiting lounge. You will then board the luxurious Halong Sonata Cruise for an unforgettable six-hour cruise through one of the most beautiful bays in the world.

As the boat begins its journey through the Bo Hon Archipelago, you will be served a gourmet buffet lunch featuring a selection of international and Vietnamese dishes. Enjoy the food while relaxing on the sundeck or dining area, surrounded by stunning limestone islands and emerald waters.

The cruise itinerary includes several exciting stops:

• Visit the Surprising Cave, also known as Sung Sot Cave, famous for its impressive stalactites and grand cavern interiors

• Explore Luon Cave by kayak or bamboo boat, a peaceful lagoon surrounded by cliffs and home to playful monkeys

• Stop at Titov Island, where you can choose to swim in the clear sea or hike up to a viewpoint that offers a spectacular panoramic view of Ha Long Bay

Return to the boat for the Sunset Party. Enjoy live traditional Vietnamese music, refreshments, and light snacks on the top deck while watching the sun slowly descend behind the limestone peaks.

Disembark from the cruise and board the limousine or tour bus back to Hanoi.

You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. The tour concludes.
